Create Access Codes to grant Learners any number of Roles and Team Membership. Access Codes can be submitted during Bulk Learner Import, Bulk Role Assignment, form submissions, by URL and custom Completion Events. Once the roles are granted, Learners can then be redirected to any page or portal or even a remote URL. Extended Enterprise features allow Administrators to assign roles and access to additional privately branded portals.
Learners along with their training assignments can automatically sent from your Human Resources system (such as PeopleSoft) directly to the learning management system server.
A scheduled service running on your learning management system will look for the new file, and automatically import the Learners.
In addition, the Learners may be assigned to their team, roles can be assigned, along with training assignments.
Upon completion, a detailed import report can be emailed to an administrator of your choice.
Bulk Import allows you to create a template to define how the uploaded CSV files will behave, along with column names of your choice. Advanced column mapping capabilities allow you to specify which imported columns will be mapped to each specific learning management system field.
In addition, Learning Roles and Access Codes from the web form can be added to each Learner. If desired, a random password can be assigned, along with the requriement that Learners change their password when they first log in.
The import definition can be saved for later reuse, and set to work automatically if chosen. A detailed email will be sent containing the results of the import activity to the email address you designate.
Once the Import Definition is saved, you can start to use the automatic FTP import feature. From the Bulk Learner Import – FTP & Reports UI you will find the FTP directory to deposit your CSV file. You will also find the Allowable FTP Import file names corresponding to the Import Definitions. Any of these files will automatically be imported on the Schedule shown. Import reports will be emailed, if an email address was provided in the definition. In addition, a Report for each import will be kept online for the specified Storage Duration. Once the learning management system senses a new file, all of the Learners and their assigned training will be automatically imported as detailed in the Definition. Learning Roles can be added or dropped for each Learner, Access codes can be submitted and Learners can be dropped as well.
